Do not ask to pop by to view a dog - it will be declined. Our dogs are in various locations in foster homes. Viewings are arranged with volunteers ,around rescue work, reg jobs and family and only offered to an approved app to ensure its a possible fit for the dog and applicant and to not waste anyone's time.

It can be completed, saved and emailed back to the rescue at
petrescue@hurontel.on.ca .
1. We require a fully filled app to be considered as a possible home
2. Only the approved app will be permitted a viewing with the pet ** in the foster home 3. ALL family members MUST meet the dog ** in the foster home** .
4. Any existing pets MUST attend the meet/ greet with the dog ** at the foster home ** .
5. A home visit must be completed as part of the adoption process after the initial viewing by a rescue representative.
This is not a replacement of the meet/ greet at the Foster home.
6. We do not adopt outside of ONTARIO .
7. We do not deliver dogs. If and once the adoption process is approved and complete the dog must be picked up at the foster home

WHY IS THIS DOG IN NEED??- This Pet has been surrendered to rescue to be rehomed through our screening / adoption process.
WHERE IS THIS DOG NOW ?- This pet is currently located in London area. He is fostered with multiple small/ medium dogs and 2 very dog savvy cats. He is learning better rules and boundaries for respect as everything is new to him, and he is doing well.
This dogs adoption fee will be $500 at a min- for full vetting, and additional dental check/ care.
.His vetting is scheduled for June and exact adoption fee will be confirmed at that time.

How does the pet react to kids at a distance/ on leash ?Reaction ?normal , watches, curious, happy
Exposure to strangers? reaction on walks or at the door/ in home ? : he is good. No real Reaction. Curious,
Is it good with cats? reaction?- on/off leash ? Reaction?yes but not in the cats eyes. He chases, wants to play and they don't like him.
Is it good with dogs? sizes/ reaction?- on/ off leash? Reaction? He lived with other dogs at my mom's, with no issues. Here we have no dogs or visiting dogs since he's been here. He has no real exposure to dogs here. When the volunteer came to meet, he was excited, loud barking. He was focused on the dog. He hid behind e very timid ,uncertain and fearful. Not aggressive. But he was rathery barky at the dog and jumped out at him and then hid. Thee volunteer put a leash on him to help him stop. He then stopped, avoided and when calm layed in his crate and watched, came out for sniffs and avoided, barked some. Then laid on the couch and fell asleep. He barked again a bit when they were leaving, but was more happy and did more sniffing. He needs more time with other dogs to know it's ok.
Is this dog used to sharing its space / toys with other pets/ dogs if visiting etc? Reaction ? He has no exposure here, but at my mom's he had no issues. He was unsure when the other dog was here and tried to hide behind me or I picked him up. The volunteer told me to put him down and he was better. I am am one to pick up which I know now is wrong. It makes him more worried and wants to be close to me.

Does it chase after cars, or horses and buggies or bikes- skateboards or people?no

Does it walk well on leash? Or pull etc?walks well on leash although a bit all over the place. He was scared at first, now better. He got out of his collar one time but stayed close, came when called to have my son put collar back on

Would you say your pet is a stable, well mannered, pet ?
-or a bit rough around the edges :needing additional basic training needs? He's fine being pet. Would do well with more training. I've never had a dog before and hated him in the crate all the time which my mom told me, so really don't know a lot. He is Unsure of brushes, scared. Well mannered but very excited when it comes to food. Very food motivated. No food aggression, food can be given, taken away, hands in bowl. Takes gently.
Personality/ reaction- with those it knows?good ,gentle. Playful.,loves to cuddle, belly rubs

Please provide this pets current routine:wakes up at 7 washroom. Crate after for 1hr. Then out all day. Fed at 8am. Fed again at 5pm. Water at all times
The best home for this pet would be :a family with respectful older children , owner that can train ,socialize him . Active for play time, walks . Fenced yard He's very smart. Maybe a furry dog friend in the home for company and socialization as he's missed out on that here and it showed the change in him.
