2006 Haflinger Cross Mare, 13h

Jewel arrived in need of farrier attention and quite overweight. She was reportedly used as a child's riding pony many times in the past. She is recently looking much healthier; however, she does have previous coffin bone rotation. We are working with our farrier to make her comfortable, but she will likely never be recommended for hard daily work, jumping, or extensive canter work. Jewel could use a sponsor for her farrier costs as she is most comfortable in shoes tailored to fit her needs. Jewel has shown a love for children and is waiting for a family to adopt her.
