My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little Yorkie angel is Pinky. She is 6 years old and weighs only 8 pounds. Pinky is being fostered in The Villages, FL..

UPDATED BIO 05/09/2019: Hi Everyone, It's me - Pinky. I’m doing so good. I had my well-dog checkup recently and the nice lady vet said I was looking great! Something else made it more wonderful - she said I was only 6 years old at the most! Hooray! She said I was in very good health and I've put on some weight since I came to my foster home and am a perfect 8 lbs now. Oh, let me tell you about my foster home…..

I share my foster home with my yorkie housemates Annie and Mattie. Oh, and there’s an obnoxious African Grey Parrot named Bogie. He knows our names and just keeps harassing us girls. Annie and Mattie keep barking at him and getting in trouble. I just ignore him, jump up on the couch and chill. I pretty much do that with everyone and everything. I'm that kinda girl. Nothing really bothers me now that I'm safe and sound in my foster home.

When I arrived here, I was pretty skinny and not looking too good, but I'm feeling and looking great now. I really do like one-on-one attention from my foster parents. Mattie doesn't mind sharing, but Annie always pokes her head in if Foster Mom or Dad are petting me. I guess she likes special attention, too. My foster parents say I am a sweetheart and have a lot of character, and I like it when they say that to me. I have started playing with toys and they are a lot of fun.

I am really good with using the pee-pee pads – I go on them most of the time. If Foster Mom she sees me assuming the position to go in the house, she picks me up and runs outside with me. She said I'm the bestest four-legged houseguest meal-eater she's ever had. Yup, I do like to eat and I guess I've got a pretty good digestive system, too.

So, I know I can't stay here furever but would really like to settle in with someone who could give me the love and attention Foster Mom says I deserve. My brother and I had a pretty bad time there for a while and were both pretty sick and very neglected. My brother and I were supposed to come to our foster home together, but he was way sicker than me and had heartworms and went to the Rainbow Bridge just before we were going to leave. I miss him a lot. So now I've been given a second chance at life and I'm anxious to know where my furever home will be. I will love you forever, and will be so happy to say buh-bye to Bogie.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to Pinky’s small size, she cannot be adopted into a home with children under the age of 14 years old. No exceptions will be made.
