Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chloe is the absolute sweetest dachshund. She was turned in to a shelter with her three other dog siblings, and did not understand what was happening to her. She is approximately 10-11 years old. Chloe's previous owner left her and the other dogs outside, and occasionally brought her in to the garage.
Since being in her foster home, Chloe has enjoyed the luxurious life of what being inside is like! She is learning the doggy door, and does great going potty outside, as long as she is taken out. She loves snuggling up on the couch/bed and follows her foster mom everywhere. She is learning to like her kennel, but isn't a fan of being left alone (she likely has a fear of being abandoned again). She would do best in a home with someone who stays home all day.
Chloe is great with other dogs and kids. Her foster family has two other dogs and three young children (11y, 5y, and 3y) and is great with all of them. Chloe would be best with older dogs who are not super dominant. She is wonderful and patient with the kids and would be fine in a home with kids of any age. Not sure how she is with cats.
Chloe only barks if someone is at the door (doorbell, knock), otherwise she is pretty quiet. She doesn't mind loud noises (vacuum, kids). She is great riding in the car. She loves bath time and grooming.
She is a bit overweight, coming in just over 20 pounds, but we are working on getting her to a healthy weight. She is good on a leash, and enjoys walks.
Chloe is going to be the perfect companion for whoever is lucky enough to adopt her!
