Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tiger is a brindle/white, natural ears/tail, neutered, and ever so slightly, a "special needs" boy. Tiger's Story: he was being taken by his owner to the shelter to turn in. He was put in the back of a truck, unteathered and either jumped or fell out and was run over by his owner's truck AND hit by the car that was behind them. Let's just say that the person in the car behind the owner was quite upset and let the owner "have it", then followed him to the shelter to make sure Tiger got medical attention. His right front leg was so badly damaged it had to be amputated at the shoulder. I rescued him about 2 weeks after his surgery and he would tire quickly. But, not anymore! He gets around beautifully. I live on two acres and he gets around with no problem. He's built up a lot of stamina and has mastered the steps on the deck of my house and also how to use the dog door. He was obviously an outdoor dog before he came into rescue. But now, you'd never know it. I'd really like to place him in a home with someone that would be willing to get him certified as a Therapy Dog. I think he would be EXCELLENT. He LOVES everyone, everything and doesn't have one sour bone in his body. He's a HUGE LOVE BUG, just happy and go-lucky. He LOVES to play. He's very good at picking up "routines". When I'm home he has full access to the house, yet spends a lot of time sunning on the deck or just hanging out in the yard. His "special need" is only that his diet/feeding has to be kept closely monitored so that he doesn't gain any extra weight with that missing leg. Right now he's at his prime at about 90 lbs. Tiger is being fostered in California.
