Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, we are the 7-year-old spinster sisters in Holliston, MA. We sisters balance each other out - Abby's blue eye is on her right and Sophie's is on her left. (Book-ends!) We are both well-behaved (if we don't mind saying so ourselves) and most of all, we travel-in-tandem - and have been doing so since birth. Our new foster 'bro' asked if we were twins - I thought for a moment and realized that yes, littermates can be called twins - not identical - but then, not fraternal (although we'd love a fraternity party ;o) - for after all, we are girls.
Upon departure to our foster home, we were filled with excitement for the new adventure, however we quickly settled down as we left the side street, and the rest of the car ride was a breeze! Fair is also fair in sharing the backseat - when Sophie was sitting, Abby napped - when Sophie was ready to lie down, Abby took the opportunity to gaze out the back window at the sky.
We had an active time exploring our new foster home and then stretched our legs running around outside, after which we "kicked back" snuggling with our foster Dad last evening on the deck and meeting the 21 year old kid who lives there for the summer. This morning, we awoke hungry for a bowl of breakfast and some fresh air - but this afternoon is all about the "Big Easy" (aka, napping) AND sunbathing, since we love the outdoors! After all, we are well-rounded girls ready for the next big adventure.
I'm Sophie, the sociable sister who takes the lead - be it in a new adventure (car anyone?) or in herding up to my foster Mom's side to 'cop a cuddle' or to beg a belly rub from my Foster Dad. I can also wake from a nap on a dime to check out that sound that no one else heard! Right now, I'm looking into that big backyard that has all sorts of - "Squirrel!" - critters roaming about. I have a white head with a spot of darker fur on the crown and a bit of grey brushed across my ears. Let’s face it I am just plain fetching, if you want to know the truth.
And I'm Abby, a true sheepie, complete with wigglebutt, who cocks her head in a "don't you love me" pose - but also the watchdog, letting you know "what's up" with a bark. My other favorite activity is napping in snuggle pose to whatever makes me feel loved, be it inanimate or animate (that's you uprights) I am a bit bigger at about 80 lbs but I’m also a big softie, with a full white mophead and darker fur on my back (and other typical OES-marking places) My face is broader than Sophie's more angular snout (the better for sniffing out that bagel that my new foster Mom thinks is hidden next to her coffee. ;o)
We'd love to sniff you out at this NEOESR picnic (see www.neoesr.org) this Sat., June 13th that we've been hearing about. Come say "Hello" and chat it up with us girls! Ask where you can find Sophie and Abby.. No doubt, we'll be in the thick of things.
