Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lucy Lowrider! This beautiful pure bred Basset Hound came to us as an owner surrender after their other dog attacked her. After undergoing surgery and A LOT of stitches, this angel is healed and loving life.
Lucy weighs in at about 60 lbs (though she could stand to lose a few) and we believe she is somewhere between 6-7 years young. She's excellent on leash, LOVES car rides and is up for just about any adventure. And like any good hound dog, Lucy LOVES to sing!
Lucy has been fine with other dogs, but it's clear she would prefer to be the center of attention and she would do best in a home where her person (or people) are around most of the time, or with an adopter that can take her to work.
If you're interested in adopting this pet please fill out our matchmaking questionnaire (www.rescuefromthehart.org). We are volunteer based and will do our best to get back to you within 72 hours. Please do not call as our phone is intended for emergencies only. If we feel that one of our dogs is a good match we will set up a private meet and greet We do not have a physical location where you can come and meet all the dogs at once, so meet and greets may take a little time to coordinate. Our requested adoption donation is $350 and all adopters are required to fill out an adoption agreement.
