My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Barney is one of the most special cats that has had the honor of being a SPIN cat. He is a dog in a cat's body. He is 80% lap cat and 20% spicy cat who has cattitude.
He came to us from Brooklyn, NY and was surrendered due to allergies within the home.
Barney LOVES to be petted and kissed. He will, however, let you know when he is done being spoiled. He sometimes gets overstimulated and needs time to relax. An experienced cat person is definitely preferred.
He is full of love and thrives on getting attention. Barney either loves you or not. He will choose his human caretakers and make it quite clear if they are worthy of his love. He likes to give hugs and kisses. He needs a calm home with patient people who will not get mad at him and will spend time with him.
You need to meet this sweet boy and see if you can win his heart.
We believe that Barney does not like other cats and should be in a home as the only cat.
He does not do well in a shelter environment and needs a place where he can relax and feel comfortable.

We have observed that he would do better in a home with males only.
