At about 10 months old, Rocky is finishing the pup stage and ready to become an amazing young adult. He has a personality that makes you want to give him a big hug. He is sweet, playful, and basically one happy dog. He is close to full grown, weighing about 65 pounds.
Rocky Balboa is a shepherd/boxer mix. His short coat is made up of shades of tan with some white accents. It is his face that catches your eye. He has these amazing ears that can turn down or stand straight out, as if they were ready to take off. But it is Rocky’s eyes that really draw you in. They are amber and are surrounded by black shading to accent them. His muzzle is all black as is his nose. He has the best looking features of a shepherd and a boxer.
This guy was in a shelter with his brother, Rambo. The manager of the shelter asked our NC rescue partners to save both of them because they radiate a sweetness that makes them irresistible. Rambo recently found his forever home. Now it’s Rocky’s turn! He’s currently being fostered in CT, enjoying the company of people and pups of all ages. Rocky’s playfulness and zest for life make him such a wonderful pup.
Rocky is crate and leash trained. He has been working on house training and making progress. He will need to continue that training with a person who is willing to provide the right guidance. He has learned some commands which will need to be expanded to foster his social skills. With his attitude, Rocky will become a lifelong devoted companion.
