Hello there! Meet Mr Lovable!
He's a happy and well mannered tiny little 5-6 year old neutered male Chihuahua boy. Like many small dogs, He is slow to warm up to new people, His adoption applicant must understand that he is not going to run right up and kiss you, he takes his time getting acquainted; if you ignore him, he will become determined to get you to pet him! Once he gets to know you, He is calm and loves to cuddle, he is crate trained, quiet, likes to go for walks, is good on leash, he makes some really funny grunting noises when you pet "the right spots" too!
He gets along great with other small dogs and larger dogs who are mellow and respectful. When he first meets a new person we recommend the person just ignore him and i his own good time just let him come and sniff and meet them when he is ready... He would be best in a home with children over 10 years old, he does not like to be picked up unless you have a towel to drape him with and lift him within that. (many little dogs have fear of being dropped due to prior unsupervised children's playing too ruff, clumsiness or abuse by prior owners). That said he is johnny on the spot to jump on the sofa with you to watch TV or chat with friends. He is also good in the bathtub. He is a little love-bug, cuddle-man extraordinaire!
He would do well with other small- or gentle-mellow bigger dogs and older children who are experienced or willing to learn proper handling and care, and adults who understand they must supervise (we will help with teaching adults and kids!) Whoever is chosen as Mr Lovable's adopter will be the luckiest person on the planet because he is such a very special little man... He loves wearing outfits, coats, even hats! loves car rides too... We request a follow up email introduction accompany Every application submission.. in subject line put dogs name and your name, in the email type your name, address, phones and name of dog you sent application for, please tell us in your own words about your household, your past history with owning/caring for dogs, what type of lifestyle you have to offer a dog and why you think you would be the best home chosen for this particular dog.
WE DO CHECK REFERENCES and we will call your vet, So to expedite your application please call them now and let them know you've applied to adopt and give them permission to speak with us and ask them to mark your file "History of vetting discussion permission granted for rescue."

Please note, Unless otherwise noted, all dogs fully vetted, sterilized and micro-chipped, and crate trained prior to adoption, if at any point in dogs life (if you are approved) you do not want dog or can no longer properly care for it DOG must be returned to us. we do not want you to give dog away, sell it or turn it over to any other organization.
