My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brandon is a sweet, 6 y.o. boy who loves people. He has been at the shelter for over a year, longer than all the other dogs, and deserves to have a nice place to wipe his paws. Brandon spent his first few years of life as an outside dog with little more than a bowl of food and some water. Amazingly, he maintained a loving disposition and likes nothing more than getting pet and brushed. Unfortunately, this early isolation affected Brandon's ability to share. Since he was unaccustomed to having possessions, now when he gets things, he is not always willing to give them up. Brandon is newly enrolled in training classes to work on this behavior. His new home should be committed to not only loving him and exercising him, but to continue helping him become the well-adjusted dog we know he can be. Brandon gets along with most other dogs when properly introduced. He would be best suited for a home with people who are willing to introduce him to all the aspects of life on the outside, slowly and patiently. Due to his sharing issues, he will need to be placed in an adult-only home or a home with grown children who are able partake in his training.
