You just got to love this handsome guy! In his short life JJ has already experienced life as a special companion dog. He has all the qualities you would expect of such a dog: friendly, confident, even tempered, and used to people. Sadly, his owner had to give him up when it was decided that he could no longer stay with her.
He gets along with everyone whether they are adults or older kids as he likes to jump and maybe too much for smaller children. Having lived in a dorm, he is used to lots of humans and noise. He loves to play with other dogs whenever he has the opportunity. JJ is definitely a dog that would do well with a family that likes to take walks or hikes or be outside for playtime with him. Just imagine what he will do when he experiences his first snowfall.
At around 2 years of age and about 47 pounds he is full grown. JJ is considered to be a medium size dog with a medium to high amount of energy. His primary breed is shepherd and secondary breed is Carolina Dog (or yellow dog). That seems to match his coloring exactly as he has a short yellow coat. He has those tall straight shepherd ears and amber eyes. He is indeed handsome!
JJ is house and crate trained and working on leash training. He knows some commands and being smart, he will pick up more with some practice. Please do remember that though he is house trained he may have an occasional accident as he adjusts to a new home and new routines.
JJ deserves a second chance in a forever home. He has shown that he has all the qualifications to be a wonderful family dog with proper training, guidance and patience in a home where he can be appreciated and loved for what he is: one special guy! Interested? Read on!
The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees.
