Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Second Hand Animals Truly Make First Class Pets
Hi, my name is Asher and I’m a 5-year-old male Blue Merle Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd mix. For the past year I had a nice home but then one day I was brought here. You see my family didn’t know that my breed is high energy and I need room to run around and exercise. But no worries -- I’m keeping my tail up because I know a loving family will come in and adopt me taking me into their loving home and hearts. How could you not – aren’t I the most handsome dog ever?
Here are some things you should know about me:
I might be housebroken because I wait to go potty outside my kennel
I love to play
I’m good on leash
I’m very engaging
I have a gorgeous smile (don’t you think)
I need to have plenty of exercise
I’m not good with small kids because my breed (herding dogs) can nip at their heels to keep them in line so more mature children or an Adult family is best for me
I can be choosy with the other dogs I like so if you have another pup at home bring him/her in for an intro before just taking me home
Please keep in mind: While I’m 5 years old, I can match the energy level of my 6-month old friend Winter (who was been adopted). I tell you this only because my breed is considered a working dog and we need an outlet for our energy. I’m looking for an active family willing to exercise me daily. If you are just going to put me outside all alone all day, then I’m not the pup for you.
However, if you are no coach potato and are willing to make me an indoor integrated member of the family, ask to meet me now. I’m packed and ready to go!
