My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m a Fabulous Pretty Lady
Hi, my name is Sadie and I’m a 6-year-old female German Shepherd. For most of my life I had a nice home but then one day I was brought here. You see my family got divorced and I was not allowed to live in our new home (an apartment). Now I know my owner did the right thing, but don’t be too sad for me. I was left outside all the time and if you know anything about my breed then you know we like to be with our pack! The volunteers tell me to keep my tail up because I’m such a wonderful girl that they are sure my new forever family will come in and adopt me real soon; making me an integrated indoor member of the family. Hey could that be with you??
Here are some things you should know about us:
I might be housebroken because I wait to go potty outside my kennel
I’m a smart girl and already know some great commands
I have a lot of energy
I walk fair on my leash
I’m not comfortable in a car
I’m playful with kids
I get along with cats
I need to be the only dog in the house
Worried about Adopting an Older Dog? Just like a puppy has her whole life ahead of her, so do I and all I want is to spend it near you – safe and warm, inside. Since I’ve been here I’ve been to see a private vet for my Forever Young Senior Wellness Exam. Turns out I’m a healthy girl – all my lab work came back normal!
You know older dogs need love too and can transform your life in ways that you can’t imagine. We are one in a million and give a special kind of endless love to our owners. And we roll with life’s ups and downs – after all I’ve had to since finding my way to the animal care center through no fault of our own.
If you are just going to put me outside all by myself all the time, then I’m not the pup for you. But if you are looking for an affectionate lady to welcome into your home as an integrated family member, look no further than me. I’m your girl!
