Here's what the humans have to say about me:
John is one of the cutest puppies you will ever see. He gets his gorgeous looks from his mom (Jasmine, who has now been adopted), and apparently gets his size from his dad. John is already a big pup and will only get much bigger over time. Before coming to us, John has always been an outside pup with little experience with being inside or around other people. When we first took him home he was pretty shut down, wouldn’t approach anyone, and would tried to hide if youbcame near him. Now, John is doing so much better and is a major cuddle bug! He loves belly rubs, and being next to someone. John does great with the other dogs that he has met so far, and would most likely love to have another dog companion in his forever home. If there is another dog in the home, it would be best if that dog was well socialized and confident to help show John how he should be. He will need a home that can handle his large size that he will become, and is comfortable with the breeds that he is mixed with. He is doing well with crate training, but will continue to need more work. He is not completely house trained yet, and is never left unsupervised. John is very much a puppy and has a lot of learning. His new family should not be gone for long hours as he will need to go out regularly to use the bathroom.
**just over two weeks ago John and his sister tested positive for parvo. We were extremely lucky to have caught it so early on which lead to him being able to get over it without a lot of medical intervention. The vet put him on medication for a week and had us do a two week quarantine just to make sure. John is running around, playing, and eating now, but does need to work on putting on some more weight that he lost over the two weeks**
