Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Mingo is a solid shiny black cat with large yellow-green eyes. He and two other cats were literally dumped at the county landfill for unknown reasons by their previous human who told the workers at the landfill that they had been fully vetted, but she did not leave any records on them. A Mebane, NC cat lover took the three cats to her home and contacted the Goathouse to take them in. Mingo is shy, but is never aggressive. When Mingo warms up to a person, he can be petted and held. He likes to sleep at the end of the bed and loves his former fellow foster mate, Diamond, with whom he would love to be adopted. APPROX DOB: 12/06/2016
If interested in adopting from the Goathouse Refuge, please plan to take the following steps required in our adoption process: 1. Come for a Visit: No appointment necessary: just drop by during our normal visiting hours of noon-3 PM. We're open seven days a week, including holidays, though if visiting during the week we ask that you call our office in advance at (919) 542-6815 and confirm availability of our staff. 2. Complete our online application: Visit our website (click link above or go to www.goathouserefuge.org under the 'adopt' tab). 3. Home Visit: All adoption applications will be reviewed by the refuge staff, and if the applicant seems to be a good fit for the cat(s) of interest, the refuge will contact the interested party to set up a home visit. Only after a representative of the refuge conducts a home visit will the refuge then consider continuing with the adoption process.
