Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Anya came to the Goathouse after being pulled from Gaston County Anilmal shelter in February of 2018. She is shy and needs a patient and quiet home to help her come out of her shell and trust people.
APPROX DOB: 1/11/2011
If interested in adopting from the Goathouse Refuge, please plan to take the following steps required in our process: 1. Come for a Visit: No appointment necessary - just drop by during our weekend visiting hours from 11am-3 PM Saturdays and Sundays. 2. Complete our online application: Visit our website (click link above or go to www.goathouserefuge.org under the 'adopt' tab). 3. Home Visit: All adoption applications will be reviewed by the refuge staff, and if the applicant seems to be a good fit for the cat(s) of interest, the refuge will contact the interested party to set up a home visit. Only after a representative of the refuge conducts a home visit then consider continuing with the adoption process.

More about this rescue
Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
