Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Clyde is a sweet-looking handsome boy with a gentle charm. He was born in 2008 and came to the Refuge with his brother Barney. Clyde and his brother spent much of their kitten year in the wild and when they were released into the general population of the Goathouse, they went out onto the grounds and became somewhat remote. But years later, both brothers started spending more time indoors in the main building and showed more and more interest in interacting with people. Barney passed a couple of years ago but Clyde seems to appreciate having his picture taken and will give you a nice pose and will sniff your hand. Clyde is one of our 'Cats for Patient Cat People' who would greatly benefit from some one-on-one attention from a kind and understanding human friend who would help him overcome his shyness in his golden years. Approximate DOB: 10/1/2008
'Sponsored' means that Clyde's adoption fee has been donated by a generous volunteer, so you can take him home for free! You can spend that saved adoption fee on toys, food and litter!
If you would to adopt Clyde, please call our office at (919) 542-6815 to arrange a visit in person, and be sure to complete our online application too (www.goathouserefuge.org/adoption-application/). Clyde is a cat for experienced cat owners only who understand patience, cat communication/body language and the need to allow the cat to bloom and bond 100% at their own pace over time. The home environment needs to be peaceful and tranquil, with no children under the age of 16. In addition to unrestricted access to a warm, safe home environment, Clyde also requires safe restricted access to the outdoors - for example, a screened porch or safe outdoor area with cat-proof fencing - so he cannot wander away from the safety and care of the home.
