Edith is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so she is willing to move north for a good loving forever home.

Edith came from a backyard breeder who had way too many dogs (22) and the city told her that they had to go. We took them before they went to the pound or worse. They are Shih Tzu/Dachshund/Chihuahua mixes around 4 months old. Edith is smooth coated and weighs 6 pounds. She is very friendly, loving, and playful; and likes to give kisses. All of the puppies like to howl at trains. Edith is a puppy and will need to be house trained, obedience trained and receive further socialization. Edith is small and must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that can hurt her. She must also be protected from outdoor predators and large raptors that would consider her dinner. Edith must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash would like a secure fenced yard to run and play.

Edith is healthy. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She will receive her final puppy shot on May 11th and can leave for a new home after that. But she may be adopted now. Edith is on flea prevention and has been started on heartworm prevention. She has a $500.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Washington or New Stanton PA.
