My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy is a former Mom who took great care of her babies. Now it's time for her to find her forever home. She is a typical tortie- she likes to be in charge, and will let you know when she wants to play and be petted. She purrs when you pet her, and likes attention on her terms. She will do best in a home with someone who has lots of cat experience. Poppy also needs to be the only pet in the home, as she is not fond of other cats or dogs.

Poppy is a such a beautiful and loving girl! Please come see her and the other cats that are available at the PetSmart store in the District Shopping Center/Tustin. Adoptions are held every Saturday from 12-4.

You can get pre-approved for your adoption! Just visit our website and submit your application online: http://www.oc-arc.com/adoptions/how-to-adopt/

When you choose to adopt one of OCARC's animals, the adoption donation is $175. Each of our cats and kittens has been:

- Spayed or neutered
- Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia)
- Tested for FIV (Feline Aids)
- De-flead (topical Revolution or Advantage)
- De-wormed (tape and round worms)
- Given their first FVRCP vaccination.

We keep all our kitties current on their FVRCP vaccines so depending on the age of the kitty when you adopt him or her and how long we've had the kitty, the vaccine series may be complete. If not, you as the adopter will be responsible for any further vaccinations in the series.

- Rabies Vaccination when age appropriate

These services would usually cost more than $500. Of course, an adoption donation of more than $175 is always welcome, since we often provide additional medical care such as x-rays, blood panels, treatment for ears, eyes, upper respiratory infections and viruses.
