My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nellie is about a year old Beagle mix who is under 20 lbs, and will soon be spayed and updated on her shots. She would be great in a home with a single person who can give her undivided attention as she likes to be the queen bee. She has been around older quiet children and done well. But Nellie takes a bit to warm up to strangers. If you sit and let her come to you, she will learn to trust and then will be your buddy. Then she will take over your lap full time once she knows you better. She would do ok in a few types of homes, but needs to be given time to get comfortable with someone before she trusts them. Once you win her trust then you are gold and she can be very loving then. She has been around other dogs, but will need someone to calmly and firmly remind her of proper behavior with them, or be the only dog (which would be fine with her). This girl was bounced around a lot when she was a puppy, and never felt like she had a home, so once she can find a forever family she will bond with them for life.
(*Her right ear was just flipped over in photos, they are both natural, normal looking ears.) :)
