My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I AM IN THE SENIORS FOR SENIORS PROGRAM! That means my adoption fee is waived for all applicants age 65 or more.

Introducing Lennox, one of the most handsome and most deserving kitties we've ever met. Lennox is around 9 - 10 years old. He recently joined Paws for Life Rescue, along with several other kitties, from a law enforcement case when the owner was evicted and left the cats behind. Lennox is one of the most loving, affectionate and amazing guys you'll ever meet. He goes out of his way to make sure you know you'll never be alone. If you're reading a book, using your computer or just hanging out, he will always be at your side or on your lap. He enjoys long petting sessions and being spoiled. Being an older gentleman, Lennox is past the stage of kitten antics. He's calm, well behaved and basically purrfect. All he's missing in his life is his forever hooman.

After coming to PFL, it was discovered that Lennox (along with a few others fro his case) tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), a retrovirus that affects a cat's immune system. For the most part, FeLV kitties are just like any other cat. You could not pick one out of the crowd and they generally do not require much additional care. Lennox would do best in a home with either dogs or other FeLV kitties, but more than anything with someone who love him and show him all the affection he desires. He has TONS of love to give and is ready to find his happily ever after. To adopt Lennox, please apply online and for more info on Feline Leukemia, please visit our friends at Best Friends Animal Society to learn more.

ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN SPONSORED BY A GENEROUS DONOR. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
