Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet lab mix is approx 14 months and 42 lbs. She was found wandering the streets, very pregnant and going up to peoples doors begging for food. She gave birth to 7 adorable pups a couple of days after we took her in. She is maybe mixed with a bassett or other short legged dog. She is just an adorable girl. She has a beautiful silky black coat. She is well behaved, loves to play with toys, runs and plays with the other dogs in the yard. She is scared of being on a leash and seems to do better on a harness. She seems to be pretty well house trained and loves people.
OUR RESCUE POLICY: We require a home with children older than 10 years old and experienced dog owners only.
The total adoption fee of between $525 and $650 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. The application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
