My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wesley,

a 45 lbs black Flatcoat Retriever/English Shepherd (~5-6 yrs) that is up to date with vaccinations, microchipped and neutered.

Wesley and Ms. Mo (posted as well) were returned to my rescue this month as the owner (even a good friend of the founder of ADR.org) died unexpectedly. And these two great fellows were without a loving owner.
Both were adopted in 2013 from AnimalDefense Rescue.org and came from a high kill shelter in CA. Wesley ended up in the shelter after he was found with the rope around his neck attached to a post at a highway. Ms. Mo was found stray.
Both dogs bonded strongly in the former home but we can confidently say that while Ms. Mo was before like a comfort buddy to Wesley, he has emancipated himself and has grown out of his hyper energy to a semi-mellow NICE fellow.

WESLEY is absolutely compatible with any dog (irrespective gender) and is very good with cats. Their former owner had 2 cats and both were very kind with them.

Wesley lives on Orcas Island with the founder of ADR.org until a fitting home is found. He loves his runs and you should have a fenced back yard. Furthermore another dog living with him in your home would be ideal. he would be an ideal candidate for agility training as he is smart, very agile and fast and wants to please his owner.
