My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Amedeo but people call me Deo for short. I’m happy, energetic, and get along well with other dogs and humans.

Shortly after I got to the rescue I had to have my leg amputated because of a deformity that was not surgically correctable and was causing me pain. It has not slowed me down at all! I move around quite well and can still keep up with the best of them.

I am potty trained. I have only had a couple accidents in the house; I was excited and playing with my foster family. I don’t mind being in my crate when everyone is in bed or gone for reasonable amounts of time during the day. I love being outside and have learned how to use the supervised doggy doors to sun bathe!

I completed heart-worm treatment last month and am now looking for my forever home. When I get into a new situation it takes me a while to trust people and I can get a little grumpy, but I will soon become your very best friend
