Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet our sweet and shy girl, Margo! This quiet lab/large breed mix was found roaming with several other pups in Southern, IL recently before we stepped in to take the into rescue. We immediately noticed that all three of the pups were under socialized, but certainly willing to learn and play, especially with other dogs!
While Margo can be slow to warm up to new people, she is bonding quite nicely to her foster parents and follows them around from room to room. Her current foster mom works from home and said that she has been quite the little buddy observing her as she works. She is a typical puppy that likes to play with and chew toys and she is learning how to engage with humans in this arena. Margo is getting used to the sights and sounds of the city and would appreciate an adopter/family who can give her the time and space she needs to experience new things, however, someone who is also willing to challenge her and help her grow and learn.
Margo ADORES other dogs. It would be very beneficial for her to live with another confident and happy-go-lucky dog who can show her the ropes and help her bond more easily with new people. When new dogs friends are around, we see Margo absolutely light up and get her wiggle on. We anticipate that having a dog family member around would help her to come out of her shell more quickly.
Margo's adoption fee comes with a FREE group training course and training support with our partnered training center, Found Training Center. We look forward to assisting Margo's new family with her transition and anything that might help her to succeed and flourish in a new environment.
To meet Margo, please fill out an application and we will get back to you shortly. For more info on Margo, please email brittney@caninesandcompany.org.
