Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Ginger Orange Cat ISO Someone Special!
We found Chad the ginger orange cat in our garden in Bed-Stuy. He had been on the streets for a while and was extremely skinny.
Chad is a beautiful male ginger orange tiger who is longing for a loving home. He is a young teenager, FIV and FeLV negative, vaccinated, microchipped, flea free, and he knows how to use a litter box.
Despite having been starving and clearly having been beat up a few times, he is so loving and affectionate. He loves to be with people and he shows it by purring and kneading, even while standing (that’s why his front leg is up in the pictures)! This cat could bake some delicious muffins! He likes to have his face and neck and chest rubbed … he just loves to be pet, but he has an independent streak too.
He is brave and curious with people, but nervous around dogs. Chad has a funny meow, and can be quite vocal when he really wants to tell you something. His eyes are also very expressive, and when he’s not giving a soft, loving look, his worried eyes can be heartbreaking. His raging hormones are subsiding (he was neutered just a little more than a week ago) and he will just get more loving and sweet.
He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He has the face of a Tom cat with the heart of a marshmallow. We are working on a very easily managed behavioral issue, and Chad will need someone who is patient and can help him learn the rules. If you are the right person, he will shower you with love and affection, and he will knead and purr and be a wonderful friend.
You can see videos of Chad on YouTube (search for “Chad the ginger stray cat”): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGzEEeAwyzo and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLidFwS27Y8 (more videos coming soon).
