Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi future friends, my name is Maya and I am a beautiful 1 year old black Lab. I wanted to let you know that I’m looking for my furever family! I came into rescue when my owner decided she couldn’t give me the attention I needed anymore. I am very affectionate and energetic. I am great with other dogs and LOVE to play. Once you pick up a toy, they is no going back! I would really like to have a doggie playmate at my forever home. I do great with my 3 human foster siblings, who range from 12-17 years old. I tend to jump and get a little mouthy when I get excited, but only because I want to play with you. Because of this I would do better in a home with older kids who are steady on their feet.
I am a large puppy...over 70 lbs already...and want to play with everything I see. I am still learning the difference between dog toys and things like remote controls and my human’s shoes. My future family should plan on keeping me well exercised and provide the positive reinforcement I need to learn all I need to know. I used to pull on the leash when I walked with my foster family, but since they got me a special harness I haven’t pulled at all. I would really enjoy and benefit from some training classes. I am very smart and learn quickly. I already know sit, down, and paw. How awesome it that?! I have been doing great with my potty training in my foster home too. Though I will need reinforcement and direction as to where it is ok to go potty in my furever home. I love long walks and would be a fantastic walking, hiking, and maybe even running buddy. Just a reminder I will need lots of exercise in my new home, as I’m a big puppy. Although after I get my energy out I am fully content to cuddle with my people on the couch. Anyone ready for some puppy love?
