Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is sweet Sophie. She was brought to the shelter down south after someone saw her walking down the side of the road. She was underweight, with an injured leg.
Sophie was taken to the vet, for x-rays, although, we knew the probable diagnosis - and we were correct - radial nerve damage to her right rear leg, which results in the inability to use the leg correctly. She will slightly drag the paw, creating a scrap of the top the top layers of skin to the top of her paw. She has no feeling in that foot. She can use the leg somewhat, as she does have feeling in the top part of the leg, and SOMETIMES will put the foot down like it's supposed to be.
Her injury does not hinder her much, and does not deflect from her sunny disposition, and willingness to play and be friends with other dogs. She's a beauty too - little lab mix girl, who is just lovely and all smiles, even with the tough hand life has dealt her. She is a shining example of making lemonade out of lemons.
