Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Laser! Laser is a neutered male Chessie somewhere between 1-1/2 and 2-1/2. One week with Laser and these are my observations. Laser is a big rambunctious teddy bear wanting to love you to death. He has a lot of energy when first released from the crate but eventually settles down. Each day he seems to catch on how to be a somewhat mellow teddy bear. Today was his first day at the beach running and swimming with Stanley. A tired dog is a happy dog owner!. It almost appears that Laser has had training in his past but it was not reinforced in recent times. He loves to play catch me if you can with Stanley. Laser just wants to play, play, and play. Someone is going to get a very nice CBR with no issues, until then Laser is a great dog to foster. Reverse scratching after a tinkle – This was a real bad problem as Laser would have stuff flying 3 feet in the air. Laser and I spoke about this problem and he does not want reverse scratch anymore. Cats – I just discovered laser wants our cats but I think he just wants to chase and play. Laser and I will discuss this problem and I'm sure he will learn to respect the kitty. On the leash – walks fairly well, responds to “wait” when on leash approaching curbs. Other dogs – gets along great, Stanley and Laser are real tight buddies. Laser is the first foster that I can truly trust to be alone with Stanley. I would feel OK leaving the two dogs alone without supervision. Other dogs worked well with Stanley but Laser is the perfect match. Toys – loves to play and share toys with other dogs. He also likes tug O war using the bike tire. Laser drags Stanley around the yard with ease. Chewing – only chews on Kongs or like toys and I have not seen anything else get destroyed around the house. Laser is very strong and will destroy anything other than a Kong. Commands – Laser appears to understand Wait, Stay, Come, Sit. These commands may have been used in the past but not recently. He also responds extremely well to his name. Stanley and Laser both sit like angels when waiting for the food dish. His recall is fairly good, better than Stanley (I’m jealous). Food aggression – Feed Laser separate from other animals. He does treats real well with other dogs but I would keep him separate during breakfast and supper. Crates – Loves his crate. Indoors - Laser mellows out and I have not had any accidents yet. One last thing about Lasers huge tail in the water. Laser’s tail is so huge that I swear it looks like another animal is sneaking up behind him.Laser has gorgeous yellow-green eyes. His adoption fee will be $250. Please visit our main web site at www.cbrrescue.org to read about our adoption process and to fill out an online adoption application. We have a home visit requirement and charge an adoption fee ($150-$350 depending on the dog). All of our Available Dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (rabies, DHLPP, and bordetella), heartworm-tested, microchipped, anamoxil d tested/treated for intestinal worms. Thank you for your interest!
