Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucky is the only word to describe this sweet boy! He is a young adult neutered male Chesapeake Bay Retriever who almost didn't make it out of a shelter in Austin, TX in time. With the help of folks from numerous other rescue groups (we currently have no active volunteers in Texas), we were able to bail him out and bring him into foster care near Albuquerque, NM.diflucan order A big thanks to those whose hearts are as big as all of Texas! Everyone who worked on his transport commented on what a nice dog he is. In his new foster home, Lucky was at first a bit hesitant and unsure exactly what was going on. He has been nothing but cooperative and trusting nonetheless, with all of his transporters and with his new foster dad. Lucky is somewhat underweight and could use another 15-20 lbs. With his healthy appetite, he should get there in no time. It is apparent that he's probably had a pretty hard life up to this point, but there is renewed joy in his personality! At the vet's office he tried like the dickens to engage a miniature Doxie into play. He also played well with a pit mix puppy, and is getting along with the adult female and two smaller adult male dogs in his foster home. He's not so sure about the other adult male CBR in his foster home, and he should perhaps be the only large adult male dog in his new adoptive home. Lucky is housebroken and is picking up on the new routine in his foster home quickly; at night he slept quietly with his foster dad's visiting teenage grandson. Fireworks frighten him and so he is probably gunshy; no hunting homes for Lucky, please. Please see our main web site (www.cbrrescue.org) for information about our adoption process (including information about our home visit requirement and $200. adoption fee) and to fill out an online adoption application. Contact: Terry Roy, (510) 236-9628 or TerrySC2@aol.com. Foster Location: TIJERAS, NM (near Albuquerque). Thanks for considering Lucky!
