Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cami is a 4-5 year old small female Chessie who came into foster care in January. She was picked up as a stray in the company of another Chessie. She is something of a special needs girl since she appears to be a puppy mill refugee. Cami appears to have missed out on some key socialization at earlier times in her life. She will snap at strange dogs that approach her without much warning. She was clearly bonded to the dog she came to the shelter with, and behaves pretty well with the two resident dogs in her foster home.cytotec generic She does want to chase cats, squirrels, and small dogs. She does not understand appropriate interaction with strangers, both human and canine. She is desperate for love and physical contact, and will cuddle with me endlessly, but she can also be quite insistent on demanding my attention. She is also untrusting and fearful of strangers (I'm not sure how I slipped in under her radar!) She is anxious and displays ADHD-type behavior at times, though she has never been destructive. Cami is crate trained and housebroken, and will loudly vocalize 'roo roo roo roo!' when she is happy. Other than chewing Nylabones, she does not know how to play, and she has no instinct to retrieve. Cami and I are currently enrolled in a 'Dogs With Attitude' obedience course and discussing possible medical/chemical conditions and solutions with our vet. She is responding well, albeit slowly, to training and my attempts to socialize her. She is getting lots of regular exercise, which improves her mood, calms her down, and which she quite obviously enjoys. Cami is a funny, silly, happy dog who needs someone committed to working with her over the long haul, within her limitations, to give her the full, loving life that all dogs deserve.
