Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sadie #2 is a 13-year-old spayed female yellow lab. Sadie weighs 38 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 7 and up.
Sadie is a beautiful brown eyed girl who loves everyone she meets. She’s always happy to hang out with the kids, loves to play with dogs, and wants to find a family that will include her in their everyday adventures. This lovely lady has lots of energy and likes to be busy. Her hobbies include fetching balls, swimming, and snuggling. She would be a perfect fit for an active family that will take her walking, hiking, and swimming, and give her plenty of outdoor playtime. Sadie is good with dogs, unknown with cats, but she used to live peacefully with a bunny. Sadie is epileptic and takes daily medicine to control it.
From foster: I've never seen a 13 year old with so much energy. Sadie is a very very sweet girl looking for a best friend, whether it be a human or a dog. She wants very much to be friends with everyone. She's eating very well, and takes her meds with no problem. She is house trained and knows basic commands. She has responded well to my instruction. She LOVES to play ball, and any play in general. She let me brush her and really enjoys attention. She will do best with a person or a family who wants to shower her with love and include her in their life - she will return it 10 fold. She would also benefit from being with another active dog who wants to be social with her. I look forward to seeing more of her personality come through!
UPDATE: Sadie is settling in with her foster. She does not act her age and was a bit too energetic for the resident senior lab!! She is a very, very sweet girl looking for a best friend, whether it be a human or a dog. She slept through the night in the master bedroom in a gated area of the room, and crated nicely for work the next morning.
Sadie is eating well, and takes her seizure medication without issue. She appears to be house-trained and knows basic commands, responding well to her foster's instruction. She LOVES to play ball, and likes to play, play, play in general. She enjoyed being brushed and soaks in attention. She will do best with a person or a family who wants to shower her with love and include her in their life - she will return it tenfold. She would also benefit from living with or having playdates with another active dog who wants to be social with her.
