Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Maverick and I’m almost 2 years old. I’m currently being fostered in Kansas City and I’m ready to find my forever home.
So, a little about me! Well, as you can see I’m as handsome as they come! My foster mom says I’m friendly; I love big humans and small humans (some call those kids), but because of my energy and the fact that I’m still learning not to jump on people, it’s best I not live with small children. I love other dogs, and especially cats. I walk well on a leash and I know sit, come, and leave it. My foster mom is still working with me on lay down, settle, high five, touch, and bring it. I am a smart boy and will do just about anything for a treat, so I hope my forever home will continue to teach me new commands!
Let me tell you how much I love being a dog! Playing with toys, being brushed, car rides, and cuddling are just a few of my favorite things. Oh, I almost forgot! I LOVE being outside and running. I can run so fast! My foster mom says my forever home will need a fenced in yard so I can show off my running skills. It will be important for me to have lots of running time to work off my energy. I’d be a great jogging partner, too.
Before I moved in with my foster mom, well, let’s just say I didn’t get out of the house much. (Like sometimes just every few days). My foster mom has been taking me on outings as well as to doggy daycare so I can learn about confidence and something called personal space. I’m not afraid of loud noises or thunderstorms. However, I can get real excited, real quick. What can I say? I am a happy boy!
I’m crate trained and house trained. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives. I weigh 53 pounds. If you ask me, I think I’m pretty “pawsome”...or is it “aussome”. I’m so excited to meet my forever family... could it be you?
