Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Nikki is only about 5 months old and a real sweetie. She will be about 15 lbs when she grows up. She is very affectionate once she gets to know you but at first, she is shy. Nikki loves to play with toys and the other dogs in her foster home. It took her about 48 hours to seek love from her foster mom and about a week for her foster dad who is at work all day.
Nikki is catching on to house training more and more every day but could still use some help in getting it down pat. She will go out most of the time to the yard when she has to go and especially in the morning she is the first one out the door. She prefers not to meet a lot of new people at once and it scares Nikki so she should go to a fairly quiet home without very young children. 10 and up would most likely be ok for her. She has been known to growl when she is scared but it is her way of saying back off and since she is a sweet little girl she adjusts right after. Her favorite thing is getting belly rubs and kisses from her family. Nikki is untested with cats but should be ok with them if introduced properly.
Like all pups, she is learning her commands. Nikki is smart and she catches on quickly to what you are telling her. She is food motivated so training her is easy and she is a well behaved little pup. She is a delight to have around and at night she loves to sit on your lap while you watch the tv or a movie. For now, Nikki sleeps in a crate but soon she is going to be ready to graduate to her own bed or yours.
Nikki is a social little girl and really would need to have a canine companion if her new parent/ family works a full workday. So if you are looking for puppy kisses and love she may be the one for you.
Nikki is being fostered in San Francisco. CA. Her adoption fee is $300.00.
All our dogs are in private foster homes and arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received.
