Introducing Kelli. The name Kelli has Gaelic origins and means "lively". We love this name for this little girl as she is lively, fun and loving!

In February, we received an email asking if we would be willing to accept three female puppies into our program. They had been born into a home and the family was unable to care for them. We were happy to help. Kelli was one of these puppies. The family told us that the Mom was a white Pomeranian and the Dad was a chocolate Chihuahua, both weighing about 7 pounds. We can definitely see the mix of the two in this little girl. She is absolutely adorable and is looking for her forever home.

Kelli gets along great with the other small dogs in her foster home. Kelli loves to run, play and tumble with them. She definitely has puppy energy! Kelli loves going outside to run and play in the yard. She enjoys exploring, finding sticks and chasing squirrels. And she loves playing with toys. Her favorites are the squeeky ones. This girl enjoys life, and will bring sunshine to you along the way.

When Kelli is done playing, she looks for a lap to crawl up on. She loves to snuggle and give you kisses. Kelli is very loving and enjoys being held and cuddled. She loves it when you cradle her like a human baby! This girl is always in someone's lap or arms! She loves to sit on laps, watch TV and get belly rubs. And she enjoys snuggling under the covers with you for an afternoon nap.

Kelli is about 5 months old and weighs about 7 pounds. She would love to have another dog to grow up with and play with. She would probably be fine as an only dog as long as her family had lots of time with her and could give her a great deal of attention! She is the perfect size for a family dog. Kelli's favorite family member is her 10 year old human sister. She would love to have human children as part of her forever family. She would probably be the hit of the neighborhood as friends stopped by to visit! Kelli is not a big barker unless someone gets close to the house and then she will alert her family (we love "watch dogs")

Kelli is very smart. Kelli is completely potty trained. She goes potty outside and in extreme weather circumstances will go on the pee pee pads. She has never had an accident in her foster home! Kelli does not like crates or fences. This little girl is an athlete and has found ways to get around or over every single gate in the house! So her fosters let her have access in the house and there have been no problems at all. She sleeps in her doggie bed at night and likes to crawl up in bed with her family if you will let her. Now that the weather is turning warm, we will begin to take her for walks. We think she will really like walks as she is very active. Stay tuned for updates on leash training!

Kelli is being fostered in the Dallas, Texas area. If she sounds like the new best friend you've been looking for, please fill out an application! Our CRT adoption form can be found at: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/
