HAYES is one of the gentlest, kindest souls in the universe. His foster mom says he is the most patient dog she has ever met. He will sweetly sit at your feet and is appreciative of every pet and kind word you offer him. He adores children, in fact one of his favorite things is being read a story by the toddler in his foster home. It’s precious!
He is always a perfect gentleman and his house manners are impeccable. He is totally potty trained and doesn't chew on things that don't belong to him. He is also perfectly relaxed in his crate while his foster parents are at work. His foster family consistently tells us what a gem he is!
HAYES gets along famously with every dog, big and small. He isn't much of a rough houser and doesn't feel the need to be the boss of other pups. He hasn't met kitties with us, but we feel strongly he would be kind with them too. HAYES most enjoys sunning outside in nice weather. Though he is young and fun, he isn’t a high energy boy. He is a wonderful companion and family dog. Sweet HAYES can be shy with new people at first, but is always kind. This exceptional boy is ready to make his forever family eternally happy.

HAYES is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
His $490 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area after he is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and our own private transport for our Midwest adopters.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
