Big handsome Ace is a large, stunning long-coat German Shepherd, between 4 and 6 years old. Ace loves people, has an exuberance for life that reminds us how much we take for granted, and absolutely LOVES to eat! Having a diet cheat-day? Ace will help you devour those burgers and that pint of ice cream and he’ll be the first to tell you how pretty you look after!

Ace loves long walks and gets extremely enthusiastic for the first little bit of his walk and likes to tell you all about his excitement, but a little ways into it, he is able to calm down and then he loves to stop and smell the flowers. He wasn’t given an opportunity to experience much in this world before we rescued him, so who can blame him for being really excited? He is medium energy and although he gets excited at first, he is able to calm down in the house and lay down and chill out.

Ace is neutered, UTD on his vaccines, crate trained and is learning his basic obedience. He picks up his training a little slower than some of the other GSD’s we’ve rescued, so he will need a patient owner with the time and dedication to set clear “black-and-white” rules and boundaries. He’s not a dumb dog, he just needs consistency!

Ace is very tolerant of other dogs but would probably prefer a little mellower and more mature doggy pal in the home- he is all about his people and wants to help with whatever you’re doing.

Ace has not been kid or cat tested, but it’s definitely on the list! Although, as much as he loves people we don’t see kids being an issue!

He is good in the car and ready to go on adventures with you!
