Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET MS. SYDNEY - FOSTERED IN CLARKSVILLE, TN! ADOPTION FEE $150.00
Are you ready for this lovable girl! Looking for a large lap dog! Sydney is the girl for you!
Sydney was in the Miami Dade County Animal Shelter in Florida. She was a very sad girl as she was spayed at full term with puppies and it was obvious to a volunteer that she was grieving. She saw her laying with her head underneath her blanket.
Sydney's foster mom learned about this and asked us if we would please take her into rescue. We agreed and Sydney has learned so much while in her foster home.
It was obvious that Sydney had been an outside dog and she had some indoor manners to learn! She fell in love with the cat and actually copied her by using the litter box! Her foster mom has worked diligently on her house training and she is 95% there!
Sydney gets along with other dogs and cats. Sydney is best suited for children ten and above. She is a large dog at 72 pounds and is working on her manners.
We are not sure what she is mixed with but her foster mom states that she has a Boxer shaped head and definitely the wrinkles of a hound! One thing for sure is that she is a mutt!
If you are military. Please keep in mind that we have no idea what Sydney is mixed with and there are restrictions on base and if being transferred overseas. Sydney would not be a good fit for on base housing.
Sydney is 1.5 to 2 years old and weighs 72 pounds.
Can you find a place in your heart for this sweet girl? She sure could use a family to call her own and possibly another fur sibling!
Large dog experience or a family/individual that is willing and able to take Ms. Sydney to the next level in training would be the perfect fit for her! She truly will shine once she is with a new forever family that is willing and able to give her love, boundaries and exercise. A fenced in yard is a must for Ms. Sydney and absolutely no apartment living for this precious lovable girl.
