Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Must be within 1 hour drive of Essington, PA 19029 her adoption fee is $350, and home must have another small dog or a dog friendly cat, and a secured fenced yard ~ Cute Rylee was brought into a local high risk shelter after her last human passed away. The shelter is a scary place for most but for a small pooch used to a home with a person that loved her, we can only imagine what went through her mind, which showed through her actions. Rylee was acting out in the only way she knew how to protect herself, and that was trying to not allow people near her by being nippy & growly. She didn't stand much of a chance getting adopted that way so PLDP pulled her into a foster home. Trying not to let the same behavior start foster mom went super slow with her. After a few days Rylee finally decided to come out of her crate with the help of her foster brother, and since has settled in her foster home. We are requiring a calm adult only home. Rylee gets along with most of the other dogs in the foster care but can be a little selective, but we believe she will be most happy with a fur-sibling so we are requiring another dog (about the same size as Rylee) in the house, or at least a playful cat so she has a buddy. Rylee does enjoy playing with the friendly cats and kittens. Rylee will sleep in her crate, on the sofa in in bed sometimes, foster mom tries not to let them get too spoiled in case rules are different in a forever home.. She is 100% PP pad trained, so not sure if she will ever get the hang of being housebroken. Rylee likes to play chase with other pups, enjoys chewing on bully sticks, being brushed and seems to like being dressed up :) She does enjoy going for walks but it is better if not on a noisy busy street, she's just still so jumpy.
