Jackson Teller is the smaller of the two dogs in this picture. The other dog is my 14 y/o retriever. This is a couple of months after he came to be with me. My cousin found him in a barn and she had him a month. Her dogs fought with him all the time so she was going to take him to humane society because she couldn’t find him a home. But I decided to get him and see if I could work with him because he had some major issues, like separation anxiety, excessive barking, and the food frenzy thing. He has gotten out of the barking as much but he knows when it is close to time for me to get up in am, he whines and is anxious about getting fed - because I feed them first thing in am. He does bark when people come in my yard and around my house. So he’d be a good watch dog too. Although he’s not going to bite anyone if they did come in. Most of the time he’s trying to be petted.
I have taught him several commands like sit, and come, and out. He is very smart. I believe he could learn a lot more than just those commands. He really is smart. And he’d make a great pet for a very active person. He still has the puppy in him but he’s a little over a year old now. Probably 16-18 months I’d guess. I’ve had him since around thanksgiving.
