Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.
NAME: Sabrina
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 5 months
WEIGHT: About 8 Pounds
DOGS/CATS: Gets along with other small dogs, Unsure with cats
CHILDREN: Will be great with children
Introducing Sabrina. The name Sabrina has English origins and means “legendary princess”. We love this name for this little girl as she is a fun and active princess!
In February, we received an email asking if we would be willing to accept three female puppies into our program. They had been born into a home and the family was unable to care for them. We were happy to help. Sabrina was one of these puppies. The family told us that the Mom was a white Pomeranian and the Dad was a chocolate Chihuahua, both weighing about 7 pounds. We can definitely see the mix of the two in this little girl. She is absolutely adorable and is looking for her forever home.
Sabrina gets along great with the other small dogs in her foster home. Sabrina loves to run, play and tumble with them. She definitely has puppy energy! Sabrina also loves going outside to run and play in the yard. She enjoys finding sticks and will bring them to you with a wagging tail (so you can praise her!). Sabrina loves playing with toys. This girl enjoys life, and will bring sunshine to you along the way.
When Sabrina is done playing, she looks for a lap to crawl up on. She loves to snuggle and give you kisses. Sabrina loves both her foster Mom and her foster Dad. She will follow them around the house to be with them. She loves to sit on laps, watch TV and get belly rubs. And she enjoys snuggling under the covers with you for an afternoon nap.
Sabrina is about 5 months old and weighs about 8 pounds. She would love to have another dog to grow up with and play with. She would probably be fine as an only dog as long as her family had lots of time with her and could give her a great deal of attention! She is the perfect size for a family dog. Sabrina loves everyone and we think she would love to have human children as part of her forever home. She would probably be the hit of the neighborhood as friends stopped by to visit!
Sabrina is very smart. She is working on her potty training. She is being tranined to go outside and also to use potty pads. Note she is a puppy and she does have small accidents every once in a while, so we are still working on that with her. Sabrina is crate trained (although her favorite thing would be to sleep with you at night!).
Sabrina is being fostered in the Dallas, Texas area. If she sounds like the new best friend you’ve been looking for, please fill out an application! Our CRT adoption form can be found at: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/
Note that Sabrina will have her last set of puppy shots in mid-April. She will be ready to go to her forever family at that point. But we are taking early applications for her. If you are interested in her, please fill out an application ASAP and we will start the process.
This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $300 adoption donation is required. As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention. Applications will not be considered if one or more of these requirements are not met.
After filling out an adoption application (found at http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/), please email DFWCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com if you are interested in this dog. Please be sure to read about our adoption process and then fill out an adoption application before emailing the contact person.
