Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Milo was found on Saturday August 27, just hours before Hurricane Irene landed in our area He was found in Baltimore City tied to a fence with a 4' leash, no shelter and had a chain with a padlock around his neck. ?When I first approached him he stood his ground and tried to act tough, but once he stood up he was so skinny you could see all his ribs and the outline of his spine. Immediately you could tell that all his bravado was nothing more than anxiety, fear and uncertainty...who knows what he had been through. Within a few short minutes Milo allowed me to approach him and I was able to free him. I can't emphasize how sweet of a dog he is. Even with the enormous amount of neglect he must have endured he is an absolute gentle soul. Milo is still very cautious of loud voices and sudden movements, especially hand movements above his head. Even under these stressful triggers his instinct is not aggression. He'll cower away looking into you eyes for approval and affection, not a trace of aggression. I'm happy to report that since he was found Milo has received all his shots, put on weight and received a clean bill of health from the Vet. He is gaining more confidence and is as sweet as ever. He is thought to be about 2 yrs old.November 1, 2024, 4:09 pm
