Hi! My name is Flora! I know you are going to laugh when you see my pictures because I have these funny ears that curl up when I am intrigued by something. Its what makes me, Flora, cute and unique, and will keep you laughing!
Its been a tough few months for me, but I am hoping my luck is turning as things seem to be looking up for me! You see, I know I am a really great girl--and I hoping someone will take notice of that soon! I am great with kids, and other dogs, and very gentle and calm, so I think I have a lot to offer to someone wanting to give me a chance and love me!
My nickname is Flora Gurl and I thought I was a lucky girl several months back when I was adopted from a high-kill shelter. With a 50-50 chance of making it out alive, I thought I had hit the lottery when I was adopted! But, unfortunately I was abandoned by my new family in the dead of winter-- and boy was it COLD!! I was starving and really cold, and then also developed fleas. My luck started to turn, when a good Samaritan found me and took me in for a little while, and they were able to fatten me up, and treat my coat and now things are looking up!! Unfortunately the good Samaritan cannot keep me, but I was lucky enough to find a rescue willing to help me-- and so now I am on the search for a new, and hopefully loving & permanent home!
A little more about me, they think I am about 1 years old and a Boxer/Staffordhire mix, but you can just think of me as a cute little mutt because they are really only guessing and don't know for sure. I am petite- only about 30 pounds-- and I am really laid-back, gentle and very calm, so I am easy! The other good news about me is that I am already housebroken, so I know the rules. AND did I mention I like children and dogs? So I should be an easy addition to any family!
Some of the things the volunteers love about me is that I am a cheerful little girl and I am always wagging my tail and ready to greet them when they come and walk me. They are impressed that despite how tough it has been on me, that I still love people so much and am so affectionate and happy! What can I say, I know there are good people out there willing to give me a chance!
I am already spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on my shots so I am ready any time now for a new home! Will you be the one to give me the loving home I hope to have?

**The pet listing system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality, not breed label.
