Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tanji- Tanji is a 1 year old female Shar Pei mix. She is approximately 44 lbs and is full grown. She was found two weeks ago outside of Tyler in the woods along with 4 puppies. We heard about her being dumped by a gentleman on a neighboring property who feared for her and the puppies safety with temps in the mid twenty’s and for three days straight. We were able to catch Tanji and the puppies and get them to the vet and foster care. Her puppies all survived and are in foster homes. Once vetted the puppies will also be placed up for adoption. Tanji is Heartworm negative, she was microchipped, spayed, treated for intestinal parasites & worms. She was given her Rabies, parvo/distemper and given her bordatella vaccinations. She was also put on prevention for fleas/and heart worms. She is a very timid, submissive girl. She has done well with dogs of various sizes and would do well with other dogs as long as they were not overly alpha. She could possibly be protective of her food although we don’t know that for sure. We feed her separately so that there are no potential issues. She is very smart and quickly learned to walk on a leash and sit for a treat in just a matter of a few days. She has been introduced to a cat from behind a fence and perked up her ears and tail but didn’t behave negatively or try to charge. She has been in a crate at times and appears to have learned to hold it and not potty in her crate. She has learned to use a doggy door and can come and go as she pleases in a fenced in area. She would be a very good addition to a family wanting a very loving pet. If you are interested in making Tanji part of your family please follow the instructions below. The adoption donation for Tanji is $200.00.
