Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Yellow Bear has a big place in our hearts! He's a wise old guy with lots of life experience. He's a low maintenance, quiet cat who loves cheek rubs and rolling around on the floor or your legs to get some special attention. He's also easily spooked and cautious in getting to know new people, noises and spaces so would do best in a quiet home.
Yellow Bear has come so far since we first set eyes on him last summer, he'd been living on the streets for years, and the struglles of outdoor were taking taking their toll. We brought him inside during the extreme cold of January 2019 to give lots of necessary vet care (intense dental treatment, neuter surgery, testing, and treatment for a cold). He has so many fans that have kindly donated to his care!
He absolutely loves the quiet indoor life. His favorite things are eating, cheek rubs, being groomed, and getting to know his foster sister, a sweet dog called Lucy.
Due to his life experience on the streets, it takes time to earn Yellow Bear's trust. He also takes time to adjust to new spaces. So a potential adopter would need to place faith in the stories and videos we can share from his months in foster. We do know for sure that this special guy will make a wonderful pet for the right person. Could you give him a chance? Maybe foster with the idea of adopting?
We can shareyellow Bear's full medical history with you, but essentially much of the work has been done as he had most of his teeth removed already! He did however test positive for FIV, cats with FIV can often live a long and health life. To learn more about FIV take a look here https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/cat-care/common-cat-diseases
