Hi everyone! It's Boogie here!I Im a Sharpei Lab mix. Im an older gal of about 10 years old, but don't let that dissuade you! I act like a young girl yet! When I get excited, my tail swings around like a helicopter! And dont get me started when I see that leash! I bounce like a frog! And can I ever bounce high! Im an easy going playful girl who loves attention and to snuggle with my people. I love walks and car rides and do great with both!
I know the following commands sit, stay, down, leave it, off, shake, wait. It helps with a good treat but I will do it without one. My foster mom fakes me out by making me think she has a treat so I do what she asks. The jokes on me because then I get NOTHING but a "good girl".....I already know I'm a good girl...now feed me please...
Im updated on all of that medical stuff that evidently I have to tell everyone about here....I have my yearly shots and heartworm tests,Im on flea, tick, heartworm prevention, and be There has been chatter going around amongst us foster dogs about the chips being a government conspiracy....en treated for internal parasites and of course spayed. I also have that microchip thingie. Bear thinks its a government conspiracy, I just think its a tracking system so people can watch what Im doing we all may be right...I dont know. Either way, we must watch our P's and Q's. The world may be coming to an end since we are relying on artificial intelligence. Beware of the Chip!
I love people. men and women. Since Im an older girl, I would do best in a home with older kids. Young children move too fast for me anymore. I would love to be in a quiet home where I can live out the rest of my days (which the way Im going, will be a LONG time yet!) I am a bit harder to place not JUST because of my age...But because I need to be an only pet. Where I originated from I was harassed and attacked by a dog and sadly now, I have the fight or flight mentality when It comes to other dogs....If they challenge me...I choose to fight. I'm just too old for all the excitement anymore. I just want a quiet place to call my own...is that so much to ask?
Im playful but not overly. I will chase a toy and shake it up and with walks I can certainly keep up with any younger dogs...in fact foster mom puts me on the treadmill during too yucky or cold of weather so I can get my exercise and I do very well on it. But what I love the most is love from my humans. I eat that right up and my helicopter tail will go round and round!
I would very much like to join your family if at all possible. We all here at Few Steps From Home Rescue need homes and we all would like to be in homes by the holidays but sadly, we all know this isn't realistic as much as we all hope and dream for it. But please won't you consider me? if you can not adopt me please share me. Because the greatest gift to me would be for you to share in the hopes of finding my forever people.
