Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 1
Breed: Cattle Dog X
Is your dog good with other dogs: No. Pineapple would be better suited without other dogs. She jumps, growls and is very stressed around other dogs.
Is your dog good with cats: Yes – However she needs a proper introduction and would be better suited to a family equipped to train or without a cat.
Is your dog good with kids: Yes – though she jumps, she tends to be very gentle with children. She will lick their faces and play with their toys.
Is your dog house trained: Yes. She does have stress accidents but is otherwise house trained.
Is your dog crate trained: Yes. She will whimper a little going into the crate and will cry if your still in the room. But, when she is in the crate and left alone, she is quiet and rested.
Does your dog have any special needs: No. She would benefit from obedience training.
Does your dog have any or display any aggression (toys, food, people): No. She does not resource guard from people. Though, she has not been tested for resource guarding with other animals.
Is your dog playful: Yes. She is very playful. She loves to chew bones and play tug/fetch. However, stuffed animals are not recommended as she just destroys them.
Does your dog like to snuggle: Loves to be with her humans. Rubbing against them. She is too energetic to cuddle right now but in time, I can see her being extremely affectionate.
Does your dog know basic commands: She knows sit, drop it/leave it
Does your dog know any special tricks: No
Does your dog like to go on walks: She loves walks. She tends to pull and react to other animals on walks but with training and perhaps a martingale collar, this behavior can be corrected.
Does your dog have any fears: She becomes very stressed in a new environment with other animals.
Does your dog have any unique traits you have noticed whether in personality or physically: Pineapple wears a mask of fur with a sweet brindle like speckle. Her butt cheeks are pink and didn't come off in a bath. Her personality is energetic, friendly and cheeky/smart. She is easy to fall in love with.
What are the 3 first words that come to mind when you think of your dog: Energetic, Loving, Playful
In a short paragraph Please provide any other details or a brief overview of your foster dog:
Hey Hoomans,
My name is Pineapple. I came to Freedom Dog Rescue from Northern Manitoba with my 6 puppies who I named after characters from That 70s Show. My puppies are with other foster families now and just like me, looking for furever homes. In my short time in care, I have learned to sit and am working on my manners. To be honest though, I kind of love people more than doggos. Other dogs cause me some stress and though I’m sure with training and patience, this might not be an issue, I think I would still prefer a home without other doggies fur now. Some of my favorite things are chewing Big Country Raw Beef Marrow Bones, cheating at a good game of tuggie of warz, chasing balls or other fetch toys, running on my walkies and looking at the rabbitz and squee-rillz through the window. I’m adapting well to house rules like no peeing and pooing in the house but, I still sometimes have a revenge pee/poo when I’m stressed. I’m smiley and energetic and would love a family who knows how to keep up. Don’t worry though, after a long day of running and playing, I have my off switch and I take power snoozes to regain my energy. I love my hoomans so much and I try to cuddle but I get so excited that I just end up rubbing against them and jumping and playing instead – sometimes I fall off the couch from rolling around so much. One day, I might be a cuddler. The crate is where I go when my hoomans are at work. It's a safe place for me so I don't chew shoes or charging cords. I’m not crazy about being in it when my hoomans are around or lots is happening around me.. but, once I’m in, I settle down pretty quick. On my walkies, I would benefit from using a martingale collar. I’m also very treat motivated and this will probably help as a training aid.. and just generally.. I love treatz! I bet I’ll love you too! I’ll be your bessss friend! Wait and see!
