My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brutus is a young adult, handsome brindle Boxer and Pit Bull mix who weighs in the 60 to 70 lb. range. Because Brutus arrived at our shelter as a stray we have no information about how he does with kids or other animals, but when he strolls through the dog kennel on his way to the back yard he shows absolutely no interest in picking fights with the other dogs he passes. That says a lot. And while we wouldn’t recommend Brutus for a family with small children because of his size and strength, older, gentle, respectful kids would probably be fine. Brutus has been with us now for a while, and truth be told, he doesn’t exactly “show” very well. Out in the back yard Brutus often sits with his back to people, as though he could care less, while he sniffs some grass or studies the house on the other side of the fence like it’s a TV channel, and he’s waiting for his favorite show to start. Brutus is just plain bored. But let’s face it; no one wants to adopt a dog they don’t feel a connection with; that’s why if you want to get to know this guy in all of his splendid goof ball self, you really need to take him for a hike on one of the nearby trails; Brutus loves car rides, adventures, exploring, and belly rubs, and he gives his heart to the people who share all that good stuff with him; it’s as simple as that! It’s on the trails where you can experience this friendly hunk in all his glory; if that sounds like an opportunity you would like to investigate please email pawprints435@gmail.com, contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center on Facebook, or email: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org
