Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hello to Mr. Fox. He’s about 6 months old and is a very sweet doggie. Sadly, he was found abandoned in a backyard. He likes everyone and is very friendly. Like all the young Jack Russells, he needs a securely fenced yard to play in. He’s got a lot of energy, but also enjoys his naps and snuggle time. It would be great if he could have an owner that is home at least some of the time. Staying crated for eight hours a day will not work for this little guy. He seems to have a bit of separation anxiety. Also, he will not work out in an apartment because he’s going to bark and bark. His current temporary home has 2 cats and he does well around them. When he is ready to go to bed for the night, he likes to jump up and snuggle and falls asleep quickly. He stands up on his hind legs when he is in a playful mood. A funny story about Mr. Fox...One evening, he spotted a possum walking the top fence line. Mr. Fox couldn’t forget about the possum sighting and was whining to go outside. Each time he would run to the fence and watch for the possum. After a few nights of losing sleep because of Possum Watch, Mr. Fox’s foster mom got him a stuffed possum, posed it on the fence, then let him “catch” it by lifting him up. He went crazy with that thing and he has slept through the night again since then. Of course, the possum is in bed with them every night! See attached photo and short video of Mr. Fox and his possum! Mr. Fox is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He needs a securely fenced in yard...no chain link and no electronic fencing. He would love to find a forever home where he will never be abandoned again. We will not ship Mr. Fox. His adopter must be able to drive to the Houston, Texas area to get him. His adoption fee is $200. A home visit and vet reference are mandatory to adopt him. Please fill out the online adoption application at www.russellrescue.com if you are interested in making him your boy! Contact: jolleyjames@sbcglobal.net.
